JJ Project Part 1

This did not take as long as I did with a previous project but it certainly was a lot of effort and research into this. This is an 8-year-old project that has now come to life in ways that I am happy about. That being said, there are still a couple of things that I am still unsure about, but it is nowhere a concern or unchangeable yet. This project grew almost 50% more than the original idea 8 years ago and I am happy about the growth.

Front Door. These are 14 ft doors. There are 3 levels above ground, with the top-level as a lounge-like area. The main door opens to a grand staircase, a powder room, as well as a coatroom.

Rockclimbing wall. this spans 3 levels, with the underground level connected to the gym. The top height for the climb is 26 ft.

Observatory and workshop. This is 4 levels including the observatory top.

Front Fountain

Front Void. One side of the area is a water feature and the other stairs into a basement entrance to more workshops.
The void area with the tree, as well as exposes the basement workshops.

Ballroom. This is a double-height ceilingwith balcony, as well as a cozy basement event hall.

The bridge spans 106 ft and connects the main building to the guest and staff building and the other sections.

Chef's Kitchen. This is the commercial kitchen for large volumes as well as a test kitchen and 2 large walk-in coolers in the basement. the top floors are a couple of bedrooms.

Large Formal Dining room. This is with double-height ceilings with lots of exposures.

Dining room with round table, sitting lounge. The top floor is 2 bedrooms.

Circular garden. In the basement lies a 45 seat theater in a circular shape

This is an event area where the top-level sits a 60 ft pool that has glasses that see into the basement area. The basement area is an entertainment area that opens up to an outdoor space.

This is a smaller formal living, as well as formal dining. top floor are another couple of bedrooms.

This is the family area. It consists of a kitchen, small dining, and living. The top floor is a huge open balcony.

The TV room is right next to the kitchen, followed by a powder room, a private lounge, as well as a bedroom. On the top floor are 2 bedrooms.

The library sits on the main floor. It spans almost 190 ft curvature wall by 30 ft deep space. The top floor is the primary bedroom in the center and his & her bathroom and closet on each side. The basement is another theater that sits 60 people, along with a few other private workspaces.

The Tower that is connected by the bridge from the main building is a guest section of the house. The tower itself houses 14 bedrooms. The main floor has basic amenities like a kitchen and dining, lounge, and washer dryers.

The roof of the tower sits a 50 ft pool with a small baja shelf. It also has a shower and powder room.

The garage parks 50 cars very comfortably on 2 levels. There is no basement apart from a corridor that connects from the main building, running through to the other side of the building.

The gallery is next to the garage. It has been repurposed into a gallery, that is formerly a station that launches and lands hot air balloons. The repurpose was obvious due to the impracticality but the design was unique in that I turned it into a round gallery that is 2 leveled. No basement in this apart from the corridor running through this that will connect to the other building.

This is the sports center. Mainly for basketball, as well as converting it to other types of courts that fit into a basketball-sized court. There is a basement that parks about 38 cars

Outdoor amenities are the opened air amphitheater, as well as an event space.

This is the Water Park. Mainly features the lazy river that stretches about 860 ft long. There are a couple of baja shelves, an 89 ft beach, 2 slides, 3 spas, a waterfall, a bar, a mini-kitchen, showers, powder rooms, 7 bridges, a putting green, a swing set, and a couple of lounges.

A 1 bedroom home. Fully disconnected from the rest of the main building serves as a getaway spot.

JJ Preview

My latest project is an old one where I did this for a friend over 8 years back or so. I abandoned it simply because it was too big and I was still learning a lot about architecture to know how to go about design. I did a major adjustment where I changed the purpose of one of the sections into something else. This is just a preview.

This is the first attempt over 8 years back. The mansion is set up next to the beach where there is a connecting bridge that goes out to the sea where there is a boathouse.

This is the 2nd attempt to pick back up the project. But this time I went with the exterior first approach, giving a more modern and slick look. But I ended up failing to proceed with it as it has too much abstract to fill in the details.

This is the latest attempt at the project that started a couple of months ago and the progress is going well. Even though there are many details yet to be nailed down, it is nonetheless progressing further than I thought it would. I even added a whole lot more details with some landscaping, but more to come.

The Estate

I have been working on this project for one of the longest, by far one of the most detailed too. The picture below is done beginning of the year where there are just some basic buildings and layout.

After a few months of slow inspiration, there has been a lot of additions, as well as modification of the architecture. Far from being done, due to the scale of the project, there are a lot more details that are yet to be filled. There is a significant increase in the land size, as well as landscaping work added to date.

This post is mainly focused on the exterior and the land. Another post will be made in the future as the interior is being worked on. Most rooms are designated but only a few have details put in.

For now, here are the updated pictures:
